Official Statement from MACC Development: Leadership Change Announcement

Detroit, MI — May 7, 2024

On behalf of the Board of Directors and MACC Development, we announce that after just over three and a half years of tireless work to further MACC Dveloment's mission, Antoine Jackson has announced that he will be departing his role as Executive Director in late spring of 2024. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for his leadership, vision, and commitment to the mission of our organization.

During his tenure, Antoine achieved remarkable milestones that have laid a solid foundation for the continued success of MACC Development. His efforts to invest in the staff, organizational systems, and sustainability have positioned us for growth and positive impact, enhancing our capacity to meet the growing needs of 48214 residents. Moreover, Antoine's work to address systemic issues within our community, such as foreclosures, renters' rights, and community land trusts, has made a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbors.

Antoine's decision to step down is rooted in his belief that new leadership with fresh perspectives is essential for MACC Development to continue to flourish. He is confident that the organization is in a strong position to grow and thrive with new leadership. We will keep our community and stakeholders informed throughout this transition period.
